History of A Laptop

Hi, we meet again in this 2nd entry. As I promised you guys earlier I would share the history of laptop. I made a little research on how this magical technology was invented. According to Tracy V. Wilson and Robert Valdes, in 1970s a researcher from Xerox Palo Alto Research Center named Alan Kay had a vision for a wireless portable computer approximately the size of a notebook. He then named it as DYNABOOK.

DYNABOOK by Alan Kay

His invention unfortunately did not passed the standard model however, it drive the motion to develop the real portable computer. Do you know the first laptop was invented in 1979s? William Moggridge created the first functioning portable computer named The Grid Compass Computer 1109. It had 340 kilobytes of bubble memory, a die-cast magnesium case and a folding electroluminescent graphics display screen. NASA bought a handful of them at 800 US dollar a piece for use in the space program. I could not amaze more that even in the early years; people could invent a portable computer by the help of technology.

have you ever imagine this is how laptops used to look like?
